The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment contracted Healthcare Applications Ltd to add COVID information screens to their Emergency Q patient app. The purpose is to get the latest COVID data out to whānau and communities quickly, in an easy to digest format. In addition to the information you would expect (COVID symptoms, alert level requirements, what to do if you have symptoms eg, call the GP first, don’t just walk into the waiting room), it also includes the latest information on location of testing centres and maps and driving directions/times.

The Ministry of Health’s Initial COVID-19 Māori Response Action Plan establishes a framework to ensure the health and wellbeing of Māori is protected during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Plan describes the actions that will be triggered or considered across the health and disability system to prevent and manage the spread of COVID-19. The Plan is a living document that will evolve and adapt to the COVID-19 response as it progresses.
